Guest host: Dr. James B. Peterson
Haiti is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere, and it’s getting worse. Many feel the country is on the brink of what could be a humanitarian crisis of terrifying proportions.
Political strategist, social activist and writer Reverend Marcia Dyson has been fasting for the past 18 days to raise awareness about the crisis in Haiti as well as Darfur.
Reverend Dyson is an affiliate at the Center for Social Justice and Policy at Georgetown University and she joins, Dr. James Peterson to talk more about the issues at hand.
Then our sports round up with Columnist and television analyst for ESPN.com, Jemele Hill. We remember NBA great Wayman Tisdale who recently died of cancer. He was only forty-four years old. This family man loved not only basketball but also, Jazz.
Plus former NFL player Michael Vick is set to be released from prison- just in time for football season. Will he be allowed to play? And Jemele gives us the inside scoop on the upcoming NBA draft and is hockey making a comeback?
